Our story
From metal processor to ideas workshop
The company, based in Upper Austria, was founded in 1998 as a metal processing business. In 2018, with the takeover by the young entrepreneurs, it became an ideas workshop for developments in agricultural machinery.
The company is engaged not only in metal processing but also in new developments in agricultural machinery. A great deal has happened in this field in recent years – and SAMO is a pioneer here.
The vision: to use new ways of thinking and machine technology to make farmers’ everyday work easier and to make agriculture not only more tangible but also more innovative.
The team
Around 20 people – all with roots in farming
Our outstanding team shines above all through its good mix of know-how, solid training, many years of hands-on experience, creativity and – first and foremost – fun and passion for the work.
Every member of the roughly 20-strong team also has roots in farming – so we know what really works in the field.

- VarioCHOP – the inter-row cultivator rethought: adjust the hoeing band width easily while driving, right from the tractor cab – not to mention the many well-thought-out details.
- Fendt passenger seat: top quality meets simple installation.
- Forestry cab guards: roof, transmission, engine and radiator hood perfectly protected – for Steyr, Case IH, New Holland and Claas.
- Pneumatic cab suspension: retrofit ride comfort! For Steyr, Case IH, New Holland.

Silver medal for the VarioCHOP
For its newly developed inter-row cultivator “VarioCHOP”, SAMO was awarded the silver medal at Agritechnica 2019.
After hard work and a long development period, the whole team is incredibly proud of this innovative machine.
